1. No uploads. Ever.

ToolBox Image runs entirely in your browser. Every step — decoding, resizing, recompressing, encoding — happens on your device using WebAssembly and the native canvas. Your image data never leaves your device, never touches a server, and is never shared with third parties.

2. No tracking. No cookies.

We do not set tracking cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not use third-party analytics on this site. The only thing we store is your theme preference (light, dark, or system) in your browser's localStorage.

You can verify this yourself. Open DevTools → Network → reload the page. Every request is for static assets served from our CDN. There are no analytics endpoints, no pixel beacons, no third-party requests.

3. No accounts required.

There is nothing to sign up for. Every tool is free, unlimited, and works the moment you open the page. We will never ask for your email address.

4. No fingerprinting.

We do not collect your IP address beyond what our CDN's raw logs record (standard HTTP, no application-level processing). We do not read your User-Agent beyond what the browser sends by default. We do not use canvas fingerprinting, font enumeration, or any other browser-side identification technique.

5. The one thing we do store.

Your theme preference (light, dark, or system) is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key toolbox-theme. This never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

6. Open by default.

Our compression engine is built on open standards (WebAssembly, Canvas, the browser's native decoders). You can verify this yourself in DevTools.

7. Changes to this policy.

If we ever change anything material about how your data is handled, we will post a notice on this page and update the date below. The current architecture — entirely client-side — is the foundation of the product, so we do not anticipate any breaking changes here.

8. Contact.
